Welcome to the jungle

Lauren's 5th birthday party was a jungle/bug themed party. I had so much fun decorating and coming up with things for the kids. The garage was decorated along with our own "tent village" in the driveway. We had 6 tents set up which was a huge hit!



I made Lauren a snake cake complete with red insides.





The kids went on a bug hunt in the front yard. Their goodie bags were bug boxes that they had to use for the hunt. They found snakes, frogs and lizards and had loads of fun running around digging in the pine straw. Can't believe Lauren is already 5!

Callaway Gardens afternoon trip

Since it was going to be a beautiful day I took the kids to Callaway Gardens after school. We could not have asked for better weather. We started at the butterfly center where Lauren loved the butterflies but Olivia was not too sure about them.



Lauren sat on a bench waiting patiently for a butterfly to land on her finger.



When the butterflies did come around Lauren laughed and Olivia ducked and covered her face.



We fed the fish and even went on a little hike to find the chapel. Charlotte thankfully slept the whole time. We will definitely be going back for a picnic soon!

Happy Easter!!

We had an Easter egg hunt at Grandaddy's house on Sunday. Gavin came over and the kids had a wonderful time finding the eggs. We tried to get a picture of the kids together. this one was the best considering that Lauren did not really want to hold Charlotte up for the photo.

Miss pro bike rider

Lauren is now offically a bike rider. It is still a couple of weeks before her 5th birthday and she is riding a bike without training wheels. And it only took about 15 minutes for her to do it. Really. We held the bike a couple of times and then she just went by herself. Oliva was the cheerleader when she wasn't modeling for the camera.
